Long Acting Oxytetracyline Injection results in sustained therapeutic blood levels of oxytetracycline. Maximum blood levels are attained rapidly which makes the product suitable for the treatment of acute infections in addition to the treatment of infections requiring sustained action. Oxyvet-LA is a broad-spectrum antibiotic and is indicated for the treatment and control of conditions caused by or associated with, oxytetracycline-sensitive organisms in cattle, sheep and pigs. A large number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, certain Mycoplasma spp., rickettsiae, protozoa and Chlamydia spp. are sensitive to oxytetracycline.
